Newly refurbished, the restaurant reopened in January 2022 as a calm and secure space, complying with COVID-19 social distancing guidelines. Offering a new form of traditional Japanese kaiseki cuisine, Kuraya is an ‘OTA! Ichioshi Gourmet’ prize winner and a popular restaurant loved by the local community. The owner, who has 25 years of experience in kaiseki cuisine, and the sous-chef, who has a background in French cuisine, work together to create a variety of modern Japanese meal courses using seasonal ingredients.
