Hashigo-nori
Dates are yet to be confirmed
Hashigo-nori is a traditional performance that attempts to pass on the techniques and methods of firemen in the Edo period. The performance is held every year on the Coming-of-Age Day (second Monday of January) in front of the main hall of the Ikegami Honmonji Temple by the Omori Steeplejack Association. Don’t miss their acrobatic performances on top of a 6m bamboo ladder only supported by ground crews using hooked wooden poles.
