Chrysanthemums are important flowers used for symbols of the Imperial household and it’s not difficult to see why. Ikegami Baien (plum garden) in Ota City, visitors can see these beautiful flowers up close and personal from late October to early November. 

Although Ikegami Baien is widely known as a plum blossom spot in Ota City, the park also hosts a chrysanthemum exhibition every autumn. You can see the children’s works from Kita-Kojiya Elementary School, bonsai made by flower enthusiasts in Ota City, and other related exhibits at this special venue in Ikegami Baien. There will be over 60 varieties of colorful chrysanthemum in full bloom. It’s hard to see so many wonderful chrysanthemums in full bloom in one place. The chrysanthemums come in all the colors and shapes you can imagine, from yellow, purple, red, white, heart-shaped, and more; flower enthusiasts and others won’t want to miss this lovely exhibition.

It’s only 100 yen for adults, 20 yen for children age 6 to 16, and free for children under 6 or adults over 65. So bring the whole family to marvel at the majestic chrysanthemum.
